For years after I began this journey I resisted surrendering my will to the will of God. I resisted because I felt God was going to ask me to do something ‘extreme’ like build a life-sized cross to carry from East coast to West. Looking back over the time after which I began the process of surrendering my will to the will of God, I realized that He did ask me to do many things that were ‘extreme’ to my way of thinking and being in the world. I realize that what I was asked was extreme in that it got me in touch with unconditional love. It got me in touch my spirit self. It got me in touch with the notion of unity. It got me in touch with miracles. I guess these could be considered extreme but in a way that is truly a blessing to me and to the world.
